Great White North Boogie – January 16 – 20, 2008
In January 2008 one hundred or so New England skydivers will once again invade the small town of Lake Wales, Florida for the annual Great White North (GWN) Boogie. (Run by our very own Dennis Ducharme & Butch Crook)
Dates: January 16th through January 20th, 2008
Place: Florida Skydiving Center – Lake Wales , Florida (45 miles SW of Orlando)
Aircraft: CASA and Super Otter (possibly a Beech 18 and/or Hot Air Balloons)
Dives: Big Ways with Dr. Pete (Levasseur) and Guy Wright, Raft Jumps with Vermont Jeff, High Altitude Jumps, High Speed pass jumps (225 MPH) from the CASA, RW Jumps, VRW (Vertical Relative Work) Jumps, head down and wing suit jumps, Night Jumps(?), Great Video with New England's own Phil Roberson, Ghetto Fire with Beer and more.
Other Local Activities: Wind Tunnel, Disney World, Epcot Center, Universal Studios, MGM Studios, Animal World, Sea World, etc. are all less than one hour from Lake Wales.
