My niece and I had our first jump on Saturday. We had the most amazing experience of our lives cant wait to come again. The knowledge that everyone at SkyDive Ricks has is incredible and completely puts you at ease if you happen to have cold feet. I had searched websites for about 2 weeks before I came across SkyDive Ricks I am so happy that we decided to make the 3 hour drive to come to Petersburg to make our first jump. We cant say Thank You enough for the incredible time. SKYDIVE!!!!!!!

Yesterday, my friend and I did our first tandem skydive, I had Jimmy and she had Tom. We both agree that it was the best experience we ever had! The people at Sky Dive Rick's were the best and very friendly!The next time we plan to sky dive it will defeinitly be at Rick's! Thanks guys.

My cousin and I chose Skydive Rick's for our first ever skydive. We did a tandem jump with Greg, who has over a thousand jumps under his belt and is a fantastic instructor. Not only were our jumps amazing but they were caught on DVD in startling clarity after we opted for the recording option. It was a pleasure to meet all the great people at Rick's and it truly made for a once-in-a-lifetime experience...except I hope that I will get to do it much more than once; I'm hooked! I will definitely be returning to Rick's for further jumps. Keep up the good work guys!

I did a tandem jump yesterday at Ricks. Those people are very comfortable to work with and put me at ease. My knees were jello to the point where I couldn't climb a two step ladder but they are so concerned about safety and the well-being of the students! The instructor and staff were great and gave me an experience I would never have known! You will never understand what the sport is all about until you DO IT...I will be back.

I did the tandem skydive along with 3 other friends on 8th July at Ricks and I have no words to describe the exhilarating experience. Although I took the lead in organizing this trip, when I came initially on July 4th (and we could not do it on that day due to bad weather), I went back home very scared, not sure if I had to return again considering the risk involved. But somehow, I mustered up all my courage especially due to all the confidence that our instructors Jimmy and Tom gave us, and came back on the 8th. And boy, I am glad that I did as I got to experience the most thrilling moment of my life. I am amazed and greatly satisifed at all the safety measures taken at Skydive Ricks and am recommending this to all my colleagues and friends and the video of course speaks volumes. I can't wait to return to do this again. Thanks to Jimmy, Tom, Kenny, Cassie, Rick, Kay and Jim for all their encouragement and support. I want you people to win the national championship again this year.

My boyfriend and I each did a tandem skydive just yesterday and I have to tell you it was the most unbelieveable thing we have ever done. All the instructors made us feel very comfortable and at ease, epecially since it was our first time. If we ever have the chance to do it again- we are definetly gonna come here again..one of the best things I've done and extremely unforgettable. Thank you so much for everything and letting us have this opportunity :)

Me and a few friends came to Sky Dive Ricks for our first tandem skydive the other day and it was absolutely amazing. Our instuctors were Jimmy and Greg and they were fantastic, along with everyone else! My instructor, Greg, did a great job and it was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced! I want to thank both of you for giving me the opportunity to have one the greatest experiences in my life.
I have been flying airplanes for over 30 years along with racing boats and motorcycles a little in the past. All of these have given me a sense of excitement, the thrill or the so call “RUSH”. But non of these measure up the thrill of Skydiving (jumping out of a perfectly good airplane). I have to admit this was the ultimate “RUSH”.
I just want to say thanks for allowing me to experiences what all of you do each time you leave that airplane. I also want say thanks to Jimmy Drummond my tandem master who coroneted the jump, Bob Tyson for getting this special moment on video and my long time friend Tim Weigle who dock on to me and held my hand half way through the dive. It was GREAT, thanks again.

Oh, yes Rick Kuhns, I now know why birds sing.

I just wanted to send a personal thank you for giving my family the opportunity to fulfill their desire to jump from a plane. I do not have that desire but respect anyone who does.
My husband (Tim) and two children (Ben and Melanie) are thrilled to say they had the most exciting and adrenaline pumping experience of their lives.
As a wife and mother I must say it was an exciting and adrenaline pumping experience also. As I stood on the ground watching up into the sky wondering if it was going to start raining again I realized the engine of the plane quitted and Tim had just jumped from the plane. Holding my breath and not taking my eyes off of him I was relieved to see him land with such ease. I was only just starting to breath once more when the plane was in position again and I saw another parachute start to open. This was my oldest child Ben now dropping from the sky. My conversation with whoever it was beside me was "if anything can possible happen it would happen to Ben. He seems to be the one that finds trouble." Just seconds later I noticed something was not right. I saw your team run for the arrow and then the bull horn. I asked what was going on and someone said there was a problem with the communications. Of course I began to worry just to hear one of the other divers say everything was going to be o.k. I watched carefully to see Ben land right beside the corn field and not IN the corn field. My adrenaline was pumping, probably the most it ever had. With another first time jumper coming down from the sky I thought I can relax because he's not with me. WRONG, I still have my daughter Melanie to come to the ground yet. Once again I heard the engine of the plane go quite. This time no parachute is opening right away. Tim, Ben and I realize she didn't jump yet. What is she doing? She better not back out! This was all her idea! This is her graduation gift! She better jump now or ...( I didn't know .) Just then I saw the parachute opening up. She is on her way to the ground. Holding my breath again it seemed forever for her to land on the ground. Finally she landed without any problems. The huge smiles on each of their faces made me realize this maybe the first time they jumped from a plane but not the last.
Our family outing for a day was a great success due to Skydive Rick's. Sure it rained, lighting came and we considered going home before anyone jumped. But they had a goal and didn't want to give it up. The training class put my family at ease and gave them the confidence to jump from a perfectly good plane anyway. Even with unpredictable weather and a small communication problem you taught everyone how to deal with any problems. As a spectator on the ground I must say WOW! GREAT JOB!

It was so wonderful getting in touch with you after so many years and it brought back so many good memories of my old friends and the jumping atmosphere. Sue is still talking about the tandem jump with Mike and Bob and we have watched the vidio over and over . Her mother wants to watch the next time Sue jumps. She was excited too. And who knows, I might even try it again too. It is hard fighting this urge I have to throw my old butt out of a plane again. Those new chutes look awesome to fly. Sue and I want to thank all of you for the great hospitality you all have shared with us to make a very unique Saturday for us.

Thank you so much for giving my friend and I the most exhilarating experience of a lifetime. Everyone at Rick's were so friendly and hospitable which made the whole experience a lot less nerve-wracking. Bill was a great instructor who reassured me every bit of the way, and he must have had an incredible amount of patience to deal with me!!! Skydiving is definitely an experience which cannot be expressed in words. I was in complete awe after we landed--that's probably why I didn't say too much after that. I will definitely be back with my friends. Hopefully soon if I can talk them into coming.
