At Skydive Rick's, we have the most current and up to date gear available to the skydiving industry to make your skydive as safe, comfortable and most of all, as FUN as possible. All of the student gear at Skydive Rick's is maintained by Rick and Kay Kuhns (the owners of Skydive Rick's). Rick is an FAA Master Rigger and Kay is an FAA Senior Rigger.
Every student will be led through the entire day by a USPA licensed Instructor. Never does the student at Skydive Rick's feel unattended.
Once training is over and each student is ready, they are led by their Jump Master to make their first jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Static Line classes (depending on the weather) will jump right after the class is finished, the very same day!
Skydive Rick's uses ground to air communications with their students so they are able to get back to the Drop Zone and have a soft, gentle, on target landing. If there is bad weather on the day of a scheduled Static line course, we will still train you for your skydive. Once Training is complete we will wait on the rain to clear or the winds to calm down so that we can make your jump. If the weather does not cooperate, you can come back the next day we are open or schedule a time to make your skydive. Dress should be comfortable depending on the weather. Shoes of any kind can be worn with the exception of sandals and shoes that have hooks, for the safety of our students. We will supply a jumpsuit to go over the clothes that you wear. After making their skydive, our students are given a logbook to take with them as well as a memory of a lifetime! |
